Two Cities Tell the Tale

I don't know if postmodernism and a studied lack of expertise just naturally go together or not, but the the latter certainly shadows the former an awful lot. Ah, but, silly me, looking for explicit meaning, cause and effect, etc.
Remember New Orleans? America's essential port city? America's own little cradle of civilization? The city which was the victim of one of the worst natural disasters in our history? Oyster does, probably because he lives there.
